İzmit refinery started production in 1961 with a crude oil processing capacity of 1 million tons/year. As a result of significant capacity increases and conversion unit investments over the years, the refinery’s design capacity was registered as 11.3 million tons/year. Izmit Refinery, which produces at Euro V standards, is located at the focal point of the consumption center where approximately 33% of Turkey’s petroleum products consumption takes place.

Storage In 2018, İzmit Refinery achieved full capacity utilization with a total charge of 11.9 million tons, including 9.8 million tons of crude oil and 2.0 million tons of semi-finished products. The refinery produced LPG, naphtha, gasoline, jet fuel, gas oil, diesel oil, heating oil, fuel oil and bitumen as main products. In 2018, a total of 14.9 million tons of product sales were realized, 12.9 million tons of which were domestic.
